Kamusta y'all!
So here's a story that started last
week, but still isn't finished yet. Sister Su'a and I had really been
working hard these past weeks on finding people to teach, but weren't
succeeding. It felt like our diligent efforts weren't bringing results,
but I learned again that the Lord's work is done in the Lord's way.
We were at the church early last Sunday for a meeting, and were outside
waiting when a young woman arrived and was greeted by the elders from
the other branch. They waved us over and explained that she wasn't a
member, but lived in our area. We started asking some questions to get
to know her, but she didn't really respond. So we just let her go on
inside. A few minutes later a member from the other branch brings her
out and introduces Kaye. She accepts our invitation to teach her and
gives us her phone number.
We found her home a few days
later, met her mother who said Kaye would be home on Saturday. We made
plans to return, but were still not really sure how receptive Kaye would
be. So we texted her Saturday morning... and she was so excited! We
taught her that day, and she said she would come to church again and
wanted us to come back.
Sister Su'a and I didn't find
Sister Kaye. But Heavenly Father knew she was ready, and He led her to
us. I know that Heavenly Father is always guiding us when we have a
sincere to do good. As we show our faith through diligence and obedience
to His commandments, He will let us see His hand in our lives. I know
that Heavenly Father loves Sister Su'a and I, He loves Sister Kaye and
her family, and He loves each of His children.
Aganad y'all!
