Sa bukid

Kamusta y'all!
This week was kinda crazy, but mostly good. We had splits in Santiago with the sister training leaders and I got to work with Sister Ilanan. It was really fun and I learned a lot from her. The work in Diffun is going pretty well. We have a couple of people we're teaching that are so excited and willing to learn. Most days they contact us to ask when we're going to teach them before we have a chance to contact them!
On Saturday we had a service project in the rice field of one of the members. We had to get up early so it wouldn't be too hot when we were working. We were weeding their field and it was actually really fun. There were also several members and people we're teaching with us, and everything is more fun when you've got fun people with you.
So we've got another typhoon heading our way. Yesterday we were evacuated to Santiago, which is closer to the typhoon, but I guess it's safer so that's where we are now. We're staying with the sister training leaders and were told to be prepared to be here for a week, though we don't know exactly how long we'll be here. We're not really concerned about being here, but we mostly just want to be able to keep working in Diffun. Hopefully it won't be too bad and we'll be able to go back soon :)
As of tomorrow I'll have been here for two months and two typhoons, which is pretty abnormal. But outside of the tropical storms, things here have been pretty good. I'm learning a lot about being a missionary, living in the Philippines, and the gospel of Jesus Christ. I've learned so much about our Heavenly Father's plan for us and it is just so perfect. And honestly all you have to do is read the Book of Mormon to learn about it. It's just right there, so simple and so straightforward. Pretty much the Book of Mormon is just the best and I love reading it. :)
   Ingat y'all!

3. Buko-halo: a strange combination of noodles, cereal, gelatin, ube ice cream, bananas, corn, and coconut that is actually super delicious
4. Bodol fight aka eating with your hands as fast as you can so you don't end up as the last one eating and have to finish all of it
