Meron akong sasabihin!

We were able to talk to Julia again yesterday! She is doing so well. Her companion says she is a Filipino inside an American's body. She is doing so well with the language,  acclimated to the culture pretty quickly and she loves all of the food she has had even dishes that Americans usually don't like as well.
She loves the people and loves serving and teaching them.

Kamusta y'all!
Unfortunately Sister Sy has a curse, all of her companions experience some sort of injury to the foot. Fortunately for me I didn't get it as bad as her previous companion (who was on crutches for a month). I just stubbed my toe, and it hurt when I walked. But Sister Hiatt's advice was to limp along, so that's what we did. And we had a great week!
We had an appointment set with a family who'd been taught in the past, and they seemed really receptive. But when we got their only the kids were home. They told us their parents should be getting home soon, but in the meantime we decided to figure out who else we could go to. We ended up deciding to try to find a referral we'd received. (We had an address, but aren't familiar enough with that area to know where to go.)
So as we walked past the church we decided to ask some of the youth there for directions. Which is when Sister Maythel called out to us that she had something to tell us. So we hurried around the fence to her, and she told us she needed to introduce someone to us. And that's how we met Sister Althea.
She's 15 years old and currently living with Sister Maythel and her family, because both her parents are working abroad. Althea isn't at all related to Sister Maythel, but for the foreseeable future she is living with an active family. And she's already attending seminary because Sister Maythel is the teacher. And she's friends with her daughter who is about her age.
We set up an appointment to teach Sister Althea, and headed back to our previous appointment just and were able to teach a great lesson. Sometimes our carefully set plans fall through (Most of the time our carefully set plans fall through). But I know it's Heavenly Father's plan that we're following and fulfilling. And none of His scheduled appointments will ever fall through.
    Ingat y'all!
