Kamusta y'all!
This we were super busy, and it was so much fun. We're teaching Sister Bas who is getting ready for her wedding this week, but her mom is currently in the hospital. So even though she didn't want us to, we helped clean her house and her yard. It was really fun.
We're also teaching a kid named R-Jay and his baptism is getting close. But last week his foot started hurting, so he went to stay at his lola's(grandma) house. So he's a lot further away, but that wasn't going to stop us from teaching him! His parents were able to give us a ride in their... motorcycle attached to a cart. So we wend up and down hills in complete darkness and it was really exciting. And when we got to the top we were in the middle of a rice field so it was flat and the stars were so bright. It was so pretty, but it was dark so I couldn't really take any pictures :(
On Sunday we were asked to give impromtu talks, which I was accidentally prepared for. The night before I'd been thinking about what we could do to help our ward, and I thought of a couple scriptures. So when we were asked to speak I just decided to share that. I haven't spoken in sacrament meeting since I bore my testimony my first week here back in September. Back then I was mostly just focused on figuring out what I knew how to say in Tagalog. But yesterday I was just thinking about what I wanted to share with them, because I can speak Tagalog now. Which is so fun and such a wonderful blessing. I know that the gift of tongues is real and that the Lord qualifies His servants for His work.
