General Conference

Kamusta y'all!
So transfers happened this last Wednesday, but they didn't affect us too much. When missionaries are training they usually stay in the same area and with the same companion. Our zone is splitting into two districts though so that's kinda exciting.
Friday was a crazy day! We had to go to Santiago for interviews with President Hiatt. Then Brother Perlito had his interview for his baptism this coming Saturday. And then we had the baptism of Brother Jerson! Jerson is 10 and his parents are semi-active members. He's super shy but he really tries hard to learn when we're teaching him. While we were preparing for the baptism pretty much everything was falling apart and barely anyone on the program was able to be there. We managed to figure things out, but I was still feeling pretty frazzled. But when the baptismal service I felt such a wonderful sense of peace. I was able to ignore all the details and problems and focus on the spirit.
General conference was just amazing. They set up a TV on the stand in the chapel and that's how we watched conference. There weren't many of us there Saturday, because most people are in the rice fields on Saturdays. I learned so much from General Conference and felt like every talk was just for me.  We are so blessed to have a living prophet who receives revelation to bless everyone on the earth.I am so excited to continue studying his words and learning from them. And the Philippines is getting another temple which is awesome because we need it!
So it's been a good week. I've learned a lot, struggled a lot, and then learned some more. I still have "conte lang Tagalog." I'm still figuring out a lot of things about being a missionary and about living in the Philippines. I really am so grateful for the time I get to spend dedicating all my efforts to helping others. It gives me the motivation to keep trying when things are hard.  I know that when we do are best do to what's right, the Lord will give us the strength we need.
    Ingat y'all!
